A meeting regarding the launch and justification of the electronic system of neonatal data registry was held in the presence of maternal, fetal and neonatal research center and Arash Hospital representatives in Arash Hospital in October 19, 2017.

The importance of electronic registry of neonatal data in terms of management, research, education, and launch process of this electronic system was discussed in this meeting. After planning, consulting the elite neonatal professors of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and Iran University of Medical Sciences, writing a registry based on the professors' guidance and developing the software, eventually, this system was launched for Vali-e-Asr, Arash, Najmieh, Shariati, Moheb, Children's Medical Center and Bahrami hospitals after Ministry of Health and Medical Education order. It was also pointed out that in the next five years, the results obtained from the electronic system of the mentioned hospitals will be compared with the system of other hospitals, and finally one of the two will be selected as a national system.

Then, the electronic registry process of neonates' data in this hospital and its implementation improvement were discussed. Finally, it was determined to conduct the necessary investigations and measures for launching and connecting HIS system of Arash Hospital to the electronic system.
