Dr. Ali Rashidi Nejad, the faculty member of Maternal, Fetal and Neonatal Research Center, participated as a lecturer in the organizing program of Down Syndrome Screening at the 29th Children's Congress in October 29, 2017 held at the Pediatric Medical Center Hospital of Tehran University of Medical Sciences at the invitation of Dr. Mohammad Ismail Motlagh, the respected director general of population, family and school health office.

In his lecture entitled "Genetic Diagnosis in the Organizing Program of Down Syndrome Screening", he explained and compared the genetic diagnosis methods of Down syndrome during pregnancy. He also stated the executive instruction of genetic diagnosis in the organizing program of Down Syndrome Screening Program and explained registry and selection process of volunteer genetic laboratories in the program. In addition, he answered the participants' questions with the participation of the panel members.

In the end, Dr. Samavat, the respected head of the genetics department of the ministry of health, appreciated his efforts as a member of this program compilation committee and the consultant of the genetics department for presenting this lecture.
